Ostoform Receives Innovative Technology Contract from Vizient for FLOWASSIST
Contract awarded for products that bring improvement to healthcare industry
Mullingar, Ireland, May 1st 2024 – Ostoform announced its FLOWASSIST product range has been awarded an Innovative Technology contract by Vizient, Inc., the largest provider-driven healthcare performance improvement company in the US. The contract was awarded based on the recommendation of FLOWASSIST by hospital experts who serve on one of Vizient’s customer-led councils, and it signifies to Vizient provider customers the unique qualities that potentially bring improvement to the healthcare industry.
Innovative Technology contracts are recommended after review and interaction with products submitted through Vizient’s Innovative Technology Program. Vizient customer-led councils identify technologies that have the potential to enhance clinical care, patient safety, healthcare worker safety or improve business operations of healthcare organizations.

The FLOWASSIST technology introduces a pioneering approach to ostomy care, combining hydrocolloid with a non-absorbent component to direct stoma output away from the skin and into the pouch, leading to fewer leaks, improved skin health, and a reduced cost of care. Backed by extensive research published in esteemed peer-reviewed journals, FLOWASSIST represents a significant leap forward in the field of ostomy care.
