Suitability FLOWASSIST 2-Piece Pouches are suitable for any person with an ileostomy, urostomy or colostomy. However, they are most beneficial to any person:

  • Who suffers from damaged peristomal skin
  • Who experiences leakage
  • Who has a high-output, fluidic stoma
  • With a flush or shallow stoma
Patented Technology FLOWASSIST 2-Piece Pouches incorporates a non-absorbent component called FLOWASSIST. This soft and flexible polymer is designed to protect the baseplate from excessive absorption and erosion, while the spout effectively assists the flow of stoma output away from the skin and into the pouch.
Baseplate Material FLOWASSIST Baseplates feature extended-wear hydrocolloid. The pouch-facing side is laminated with a unique, highly-flexible film for extra comfort.
Pouch Material The pouches feature soft and fast-drying polyethylene fleece which prevents the pouch from becoming electrostatically charged.

FLOWASSIST Drainable Pouches and Closed Pouches are equipped with carbon filters that eliminate odours and prevent the pouch from ballooning. Filter stickers are provided with these pouch types to protect the filter while bathing.

FLOWASSIST Urostomy Pouches are designed to prevent back-flow of output, protecting your stoma from fluid. These pouches are also supplied with an extension tube to connect to a night bag if necessary
Packaging For cleanliness, convenience and ease of transport, each Baseplate in the box of 5 is packaged individually in a durable and air-tight blister pack.
Pouches are provided in a box of 10.
Preparation

1. Wash your hands and ensure the skin around the stoma is clean and dry. Trim any hair around the stoma if necessary.

2. Using scissors, cut the baseplate opening to match the size of the stoma. Refer to the stoma size guide on the back of the baseplate.

WARNING: Do not cut the FLOWASSIST Spout.

  • Where a convex appliance is contraindicated.
  • Who would like a longer appliance wear-time.

This flexible polymer is designed to protect the hydrocolloid from excessive absorption and erosion, while the spout effectively assists the flow of stoma output away from the skin and into the pouch.

  • The Ostoform Seal is made of next generation, skin-friendly, longer-lasting, moldable hydrocolloid material.
  • The Ostoform Seal can mold and shape to fit all stoma types.
  • The Ostoform Seal does not contain any Pectin, Latex or any animal derivatives.
  • The Ostoform Seal is approved for use on skin based on cytotoxicity, skin irritation and skin sensitization testing.
Usability
  • The non-absorbent spout acts as non-tacky handling tab for quick and easy application.
  • The split ring ensures a snug fit.
  • The unique positioning slot ensures an accurate, secure pouch attachment.

Preparation
  1. Cut the pouch opening (1-piece pouch or 2-piece pouching system) to your stoma size +5mm / ¼ inch in diameter, to accommodate FLOWASSIST.
  2. Wash hands and ensure the skin around your stoma is clean and dry before fitting the Ostoform Seal.
  3. Remove the Seal from its packaging. Warm the Seal in your hands for 30 seconds and remove the paper liners.
